Just came back from walking the dog and thought I would take a short cut across the burn ( stream) behind our house but the stones are very slippy cue me sliding on my amble butt down a wee 4 foot high waterfall and crashing in an inelegant heap in the pool at the foot of the waterfall. I have huge cut on my right hip, my left knee is all grazed and stiff and my right shoulder is very sore and stiff. you would think after 43 years on this planet I would have learned something- well maybe I have but trying to walk on slippy stones in wee trainer pumps being a bad idea seems to have passed me by! it would have been a good you've been framed mind you - I was drookit!

hehe sorry Zoe - its very wet indeed - as in dripping off you even your pants are wet sort of wet! a good scottish word along the lines of 'scunnered' ( a bit fed up) or 'dreech' - (awfully drak drizzly horrible day) 'birlin' ( to spin round on a dance floor) 'crabbit' ( being a tad grumpy)
there are so many!!

N.Irish is very similar - we use all those words for the same meaning, then there is a strong link to Scotland and here. Hope your not too sore

My right arm is virtually un usable which is strange because it was fine for most of the day- did all the housework yesterday and was fine- taken 2 co-codomal and now remember they are the ones that make me ill- feel like may faint so off to lie down.
Am so annoyed at myself as it was just total stupidity- I am always telling Finlay not to do it but to use the bridge.

You poor thing! Have to admit- had its funny side too!! There is something humerous about falling down a waterfall!! ( Kind of stupid thing I am always doing myself- I'm always full of bruises and bumps) So plenty of painkillers, hot baths(with epson salts) and a few wee drams I am thinking. Hope your feeling a lot better soon

Whoops! Silly Maxi .... Seriously though, these daft accidents can have really nasty consequences. Hot bath and a wee dram is what Dr Rackers recommends.

Maxi that sounds very painful, hope you soon feel better soon. As I have recently found out injuries like this take time to heal, I prescribe analgesia, red wine and rest! Oh and possibly a bargain from Donny sales Zx

Fell in love with a very nice natured light chestnut with four white legs and a flaxen mane and tail- very flashy but had wonky front legs (moved straight though!) but the reserve was 5500. Will have to check the results and see if he got it, but far too rich for me! Lots of plain bays went through, some were lucky if they made a grand, most went unsold. There were some classy lots though, a very nice brood mare for 100,000 and an equally nice one for 65,000. But if you were looking for a nice eventer type and were prepared to do the retrain you could walk away spending £800. It was hard to keep my hand down!

Ouch! hope your all healed now Maxie. The sales sound a bit exciting Lady used to produce chestnut foals with flaxen manes and tails. (haffy coloured!) I'll lend her to you if you want Brig and you can breed your own I think if I went I'd take home every waife and stray.

I would never breed one because there are so many out there needing homes. But I do like flashy horses! Im a bit like that with dogs and cats as well. I have a knack for taking home waifs and strays!
