thanks Brig, will do. Am going to get hold of some arnica, see if that helps if it is bruising she has. I am praying she is just a bit bruised and sore and not anything more serious. I have everything crossed! x

Moo weird behaviour update: We tried Moo today and she was loads better. ;D ;D My friend rode her for 5 mins without saddle then 5 mins with and she was much much better. Still snapped at her foot a couple of times, but nothing like it was before, seemed more of a token effort really. 2 more days off and I think she'll be totally right again. Gonna bring her back into it slowly, might give it till next week before starting up the schooling again. Besides its Bramham 3 Day Event this weekend - hooray! Can't decide whether she got booted in the ribs (but why did it get so much worse a few days after it happened???), or whether she had a particular nasty bite, or whether she was being a pre-menstrual evil biting bag of hormones. Whatever it was, glad it seems to be over the worst anyway! Many thanks to Brig for your reassuring words and advice - have a karma ;D Here are piccies of Moo this eve enjoying her r&r

She is gorgeous, just my type (gimme gimme gimme)- so glad she is feeling better. Why has the grey horse in the last picture got a for sale sign in his head? And is that magpie really licking its bits? Brig

lol ;D there is a river running at the back of the fields, probably the sign says danger - fast river or something like that - will have to go check it out! I remember having read it before so it can't be that exciting, can't for the life of me remember what it says tho! As for the magpie, I think you're right! ha ha didn;t notice him at the time. I am really flattered you like the look of Moo ;D Most people comment on her bandy legs, or the fact she looks 12.2 without a rider and 16hh with. (she does look bigger with a rider - its weird!) tried riding Moo tonight, just in walk, she trying to bite me again. put her on the lunge with no saddle, she perfectly happy to trot and canter round without weight on her back... she has got a big belly at the moment - do you think too much fresh grass? the fields are so lush at the moment. a friend was stroking her side and belly to see where she hurt, Moo's stomach did a massive grumble, really loud!, then she tried to snap at her. do you think this was a clue? maybe she has belly ache? this is me clutching at straws where every slight thing is a clue. am clearly going bonkers. happily off to Bramham 3DE tomorrow. Hooray for shopping! might get some oestress or some such thing for Moo.... she is a worry. she is in a new field with her two best mates, have moved them away from the others in case they were the ones that kicked her as they have only shared for a little while. Although this of course means yet another field with lush grass so far ungrazen.... its tricky to know what to do for the best. Will prob not ride tommorow and try hack her down the lane on Sunday - see how she takes that.

My first horse was CBxTB and 15.3 but he rode bigger than a lot of horses Ive ridden over 17hh. Basil is just 15.2 but rides big also. I used to ride a lovely little 17.1hh shire cross (nickname Pinky (kiss wherever you are) and he was like a little pony- really short coupled.
So it shows size doesnt matter!
