My farrier gave me something new to try last time...not new new but he says he hasn't been able to get hold of any in ages....it's writing is all in urdenfurgengurden and I cannot find a translation that will work it out yet (it originates from Switzerland it seems and made in USA) but I think this is the same stuff as mine does say Mustad on it and thrush buster (only English to be found) this is the stuff C says it's the only stuff that will clear up seedy toe in donkeys (apparently they are shocking for it and have really difficult feet to care for and bleed very easily when trimmed) Anyhow I have been using it approx twice a week since last time he came (4 weeks ago) and the difference is unbelievable...it has really dried up the hole in Murphs front hoof, so much in fact that for the first time in an age...in fact i cannot remember the last time he didn't have a gaping hole there...he hasn't had to open it back up when he trimmed in fear of trapping in infection. There is still a hole, which i will continue to treat and small arch in need of growing down but he nearly has 2 full front hooves When OH gets back from his lads hol i will take a piccy, the results are amazing! The only other thing I use is cornacresine, again a couple of times a week.
