Goodness Not got a clue what it is. Looks like an awful lot of worms to be that though - I'd have thought (though never seen it so might be wrong) that you'd only see one or two in droppings if a horse had them. PMSL imagining your OH's face when you scooped it up!!

look's like worm's get a worm egg count, and a blood test as some dont show up on a egg count. Has he been with horses that havent been wormed regually? he might have picked up a worms nest!

ugh!!! it looks more like chewed up string! could he have eaten sumthing like that?
gross whatever it is but I aint never seen worms like that and it seems unlikely he would excrete them even if you were a few weeks out- they normally have to have a large burden before you can see it in the poo

Whatever it is its got to be better out than in! It looks wormy to me, as though he's passed a load of dead ones after a mass killing spree but that could be the photo as it also looks like thick mucus. Had you wormed recently?

They are due next worming now, but the reason I dont really think its worms is that there are no separate strands, its all interlinked, like that fake cobweb stuff you can get...
My friend thinks it could be mucus gone backwards (and this would link up well with the fact they were in 20 hours a day for week last week whilst the field was sprayed and here was mucus outside his door from coughs from hay...)
It wobbles like mucus!!! Its difficult really as it looks different in real life to on the photo...harry doesnt look particularly wormy either does he?!
