I would prob miss him its true! He's not done anything horriffic just ridden things that are getting me down. I dunno why but he gets fixated on things, usually a long way in the didtance and its like he can't think of anything else. He lives beside a main road and on Sun we were hacking up a green lane and he was looking at something to left in the distance. I couldn't figure out what it was till a lorry went past, he was watching the traffic which was 1/2 mile away behind a row of trees. N the day before he was watching irrgators on the fields. When he goes into these "trances" he looses focus on where he is going and is constantly being spooked by stuff. Although we rounded a corner to be faced with two 4m reels of hose in a row and a 5ft gap between them and the woods to get through, (I was leading him at this point cos I no longer wished to be sat on him) but he calmly steps over the hose inbetween the woods/irrigator source and the hose, The second one was dripping and the pipe expanded but it wasn't an issue either. He really confuses me. Hes just been so twitchy, staring at everything, on Mon I decide to school him first and he was spooking at mole hills and grass around the edge of our "school". I am being really careful where I trot him for this reason. 2 months ago he was being so good I felt like I could ride him down a runway, he'd stopped being dumb about most things. Its making me not want to ride him though, he is soo incredibly sharp and can turn on a sixpence. It feels like he just vanishes from underneath me. I am begininnig to wish I had a normal pony. Sad thing is the bit I enjoyed most on my long hack was the bit where I was leading him! I actually feel safer riding Geronamo who I've ridden once a week for 4/5 months then I do Fire atm. Anyways I'm having a few days off from riding him and I'll see how I feel on Fri. I hope your friend is ok Solomon.

He's 14 now should be knowing a little better. I dunno whether hes become over confident with routine or what...he was probably at his best behaved when he was between 7-9. I half think it may do him good to be in livery for a while and change his environment but I can't really afford it and it wouldn't be fair on Lady.
