Well, dentist came today to see Kieran. He was a very good boy - I was very impressed when he remained calm when the electric file was used! 
He was scared of course but he didnt run away or try to rear or anything. The dentist was great - he let me feel his teeth before and after and explained that he had wavy sharp bits on his back teeth that would have caused big problems and he said we got it in the nick of time. He said that he had big hooks as well and that there was a problem on the left hand side - he was actually resisting on one rein and the dentist said that that was the problem.
Anyway - it was 68 euro (not sure what conversion is) and we are to get him out again in 6 months to make sure its all going smooth. There is another dentist who is supposed to be the best you can get - I met him on my work experience - but he is no craic at all and is over £100. This dentist we used is a qualified BAEDT member and we got better craic out of him, a good job done for less money!
