Who was it that uses a thinning rake thing? Can someone post me a link? Have given up on pulling and solocomb are plain crap

Do you mean clippersharp? Thinners for mane and tail,- fine, medium or cobottom- there are cheaper copies as well. I find them brilliant.

no idea. I want something that is easy to use, painless for the horse and produces a pulled look on the mane - Zoon has such a thick mane it requires some serious thinning and I don't want it looking like a bog brush

i find thinning scissors just as good and you can buy them every where

Thinning scissors worked on Pete especially as they were used by my dog groomer friend who is a whizz with any scissors.
