... a Toyota Hilux pickup (not Surf). Diesel, left hand drive if possible but open to the 'wrong' side (for me) steering too. I want a good condition workhorse, not a posemobile. Double cab essential.

(The OH has finally agreed that a Hilux is the perfect, indestructible vehicle and I can trade in my elderly Espace - which, to be fair, has been brilliant, but you can't get a round bale in the back ..... ;D)

Toyotas are great ;D did you see what The people on Top Gear did to a Toyota Hilux? they were doing things like dropping it from height, flooding it out and setting it on Fire and it still was working!

I did - and they even turned one into an amphibian vehicle! My mate has one and I've been quietly lusting for ages (I get to drive it quite a lot). Can't wait to find one!

i had a surf it was great wished i could of had the pickup but i think the kids may have jumped out the back

LOL Jack, that's why I'm going for the double cab (five seat) option! ;D I will put the MIL in the pick-up bit though ;D ;D
