Whoever did it must have been planning it for weeks! i think only a small bomb would set of that much of a fire, poor people and pets, i do wonder were the dad and daughter are though, i think the daughter is about my age, maybe a little older, really makes you think,

I sat in the Takeaway reading tonights newspaper and had to try really hard not to cry. That beautiful girl, those poor animals that sad lady. How bad has the place you are in got to be to let you do that? I know I will get shouted at but that poor man must have been so sad and scared and ill to do that. Can you imagine how bad things have got to feel to do those terrible things? the world is f**ked up I hate it.

Yes I agree- although we are only guessing at this stage but its looking increasingly likely. Suicide/murder as this looks like is the work of someone desperate and not sane- may they ALL rest in peace.

was talking to a mate of brothers who is a forensic crime scene investigator and he said that the male body probably hard to identify as he probably blew his head off and they wont be able to get dental identification.

When I first read that the father is believed to have done it my first thoughts were "you poor guy" PLease dont all shout at me please I am not saying he was right to act like he did but what must have been going through this man's mind to shoot his daughter. Was it cold blooded murder or a case of a broken desperate screwed up mind loosing control. We can debate till the cows come home but will never never know what was going through his mind at that moment. Did he plan it or was he totally out of control - my heart hopes he was out of control. But now I hope that the media and general public allow the family and friends the peace and space to grieve and comes to terms with this tradergy. My thoughts go to Kirtsie and Jill. RIP and I hope you find horses in heaven.

it is very very sad. however, i think it was planned. a horsebox placed in front of the gate with the tyres deflated to stop fire crew/police getting in?

It seems like he had a breakdown. There would be no point in doing what he has, unless it was for money. There's no one left to benefit, so it can't be that. RIP all of them.

It was basically because he didn't want anyone else to have what he worked for. The bank had already taken ownership of the land and house so he couldn't sell it to pay back his debts, so rather than declare himself bankrupt and not be able to provide for his family anymore or just kill himself and let his family live without him, he just couldn't bear for anyone else to have his house or his family so killed all of them and destroyed everything. It is sad that he thought that was the only way out of his situation.

this is the truth from the police (apparantly!)
Police have recovered CCTV footage showing Foster, carrying a rifle, leaving a burning stable block after shooting dead three horses.
He is then seen running to the main house where wife Jill, 49, and 15-year-old daughter Kirstie were already dead.
Jill’s body was identified on Sunday.
Near her were a .22 rifle and a man’s body, now identified as Christopher Foster.
The third body to have been found – believed to be Kirstie's body – has now been removed from the mansion's ruins.
A pathologist carried out a postmortem examination this afternoon but more tests are needed to confirm the identity.
Crazed Foster, 50, killed the family’s four dogs before turning the rifle on himself as the house burned around him.
Yesterday, detectives showed the grainy footage to an elderly relative for identification.
Film from other cameras will also be studied but much was destroyed in the inferno.
Foster had lived a lie for a year, carrying on spending despite liquidators winding up his pipe insulation company. But the game was up when he learned he was to be served last Tuesday with papers to repossess £1.2million Osbaston House in Maesbrook, Shrops.

On the Monday he got drunk at a neighbour’s party and may have told Jill the truth on their return.
Yesterday well-wishers laid flowers at the gates.
A tribute to Kirstie read: “School will never be the same without you.”
Afternoon: Chris, Jill and Kirstie Foster go to barbecue at neighbour's home.
8.45pm: Among the last to leave. The family seemed normal but Chris had been drinking all afternoon and evening. Fosters takes a 20-minute walk home.
9.05pm: Arrive back at mansion. Kirstie goes to her bedroom to chat with friends on internet while Jill retires to her suite. Her husband is thought to be in the cellar loading his rifle, which has a silencer.
1am: Chris is believed to have crept up to Kirstie's room where she was still on her PC and shot her in the head. Her connection was abruptly cut off. He then walked back down to where his wife slept and allegedly shot her in the head. The family's three horses and four dogs were slaughtered before he is said to have blocked the driveway gates with the horse trailer to delay emergency services.
4am: Petrol is poured around the outbuildings and set alight. Chris apparently then goes to his bedroom, douses it in fuel, ignites it and puts the gun to his head.

This is just such an awful tradgedy. How a man could kill his own daughter and wife, well you just can't comprehend it. Apparently he had killed everything including the guinea pigs and chickens. I so feel for the family that are still here. What they must be going through just doesnt beggar belief.
