Before the move I had juct started getting Harry out on my own (you may recall the grinding to a halt on the way out, virtual jog on way home) but this was getting better and I was getting a little less terrified (lonesome hacking is one of my favourite things but had become my nemesis after nappy dangerous horse). Well since the move I have been worrying about it. Plucked up courage last night (if I had to wait for soggy haddock to ride he would be fat as a house and I would be useless!) Best hack we have had on our own!!! ;D We went the same pace on the way out as we did on the way back (ok so I did have to ride him on on way out) met a HUGE tractor, dogs, trotted on way out and back - at same pace....all sorts. he was an angel I could not have asked more of him. He is back to calling at me when I arrive and following me around. ;D Soooo pleased and not feeling quite so miserable about having moved now (not staying, but not so miserable!!) he is such a good boy.

Hey congrats Ceej! And with you all the way - lonesome hacking is the business! Think I now prefer it to hacking in company ... ooo er, think I need to get socialising a bit more ....

Ah Racaille, don't worry about it! Spending quality time with your horse is fantastic and by having someone else there often spoils it, so lonesome hacking is a thing you should definitely do atleast once in a while, if not atleast once a week! I think hacking on company can be fun, but I used to enjoy it sooooooooo mcuh more when it was just me and my beastie...all by ourselves, and if we got lost then we only had ourselves to blame (although Faith is very good with directions and found our way home when we were lost on more than one occasion), and although I must have looked mad riding down the road chatting away to my horse, I thouroghly enjoyed it and love to see peoples faces when you ride about with a huge grin on your face and no apparent reason as to why its there......ah, confusing people is fun! Oh and ceej - well done you! And harry - bless him! Bet he enjoyed himself as much as you did. Lets hope it can stay this good or even get better!

Brilliant!! Well done to you and Harry. While JB has always been a great hacker, Cori is extremely difficult hacking on his own so I can imagine how proud and pleased and happy you are. I love these success stories. Have a karma
