I'm not allowed on it anymore! I've just spent fifty-odd quid on books! Ooooops! They're all good ones...many of them are Monty Roberts books, but still... Anyone else find Amazon/ebay or the likes very addictive???

I find ebay addictive but use Amazon to sell rather than buy as the prices are way too high generally....bordering on downright stupid

I quite like Amazon for sheer ease. Ive just bought (on recommendation from this forum I might add) 2 x Kelly Marks books and one by Mark Rashid, now all i need is the time to read them. If I was having to go to a shop and buy them I would have never got round to it- but the internet is fantastic!

Hi Brig - what was the Mark Rashid one like? A couple of weeks ago there was a clinic at our local equestrian centre - it was v expensive though so didn't go - but just wondered what his approach was like?

Well I don't normally use Amazon either, but only went on because they sent me an email saying they were having a sale - 70% off all books! So naturally, i went on, had a nosey and bought a few things...I say a few...

It's impossible to spend too much money on books! ;D Love Amazon as even here in France they do millions of English books and free delivery. It's great!

I couldn't get the time of work because I really wanted to go (and to take my boys) Mark Rashid = God (IMO ;D) www.markrashid.com/He is absolutely wonderful i think, rather than saying do it my way, like so many others, he tends to point you in the right direction while letting you make your own decisions. His focus is on communication with your horse rather than force but shys away from the natural horsemanship label. He is also trained in Akido (sp) and incorporates the core principles into his work with horses/riders.

oops...sorry you asked about the books and apologies for butting in too but his books are fantastic too. He tells a wonderful 'yarn' and they are so easy to read and digest. Basically his books tell of his experiences with various horse over the years and what he has learnt from them. They are very interactive I find in the sense, as with everything he does he never actually says you must do this or that, rather he steers you in the right direction but leaves you to figure it out for yourself. The guys a genius!!
