saddle soap takes all the grease off really well then use boot polish (on your boots of course)

I clean them like my tack: soap off mud and dried nastiness, then grease them. Nice and soft. Boot polish rubs off on things (like a white horse

well i was going to get gaiters but they are all too long for my legs but when i was at the yorkshire show i saw some leather chaps and tried them on - they fit so i bought!!!!! but because you arent allowed to ride in synthetic chaps at college then i thought i had better get summat leather. (rubber boots are also too long, same for long leather boots ) it was getting to the point of having custom made long leather boots - now they are expensive!!!

my old boss used to use linseed oil on leather tack and chaps to keep them soft. she did that once a month and used saddle soap to clean them
