"How do you prioritise your day when you have been given a number of jobs to complete?"second one...I have worked in a pub so think I may be able to blag this one a bit...but what do you think? "can you provide an example of when you have provided excellent customer service? what was the situation? what was the outcome? ....Maybe if I say that a customer was getting agressive?? The last beauty.. "can you give me an example of when you have dealt with a challenging situation? what was the situation? what action did you take and what was the outcome?"This is so f'd up! Whatever happened to just giving CV's out with a list of your experience! It feels like an exam! I dont know what to write!!! *Bangs head on desk*

"How do you prioritise your day when you have been given a number of jobs to complete?" I work out which jobs are urgent, which are important but not so urgent and which can wait till i have time. If something crops up during the day i work out where about on my list it would go and act accordingly "can you provide an example of when you have provided excellent customer service? what was the situation? what was the outcome? i don't know your personal one but they like ones where you have dealt with a complaint 'calmly and efficiently' so sorting an agressive customer would be good "can you give me an example of when you have dealt with a challenging situation? what was the situation? what action did you take and what was the outcome?" this doesn't say it has to be work related to how about ferns leg, challenging because you didn't know what was wrong, you had to act calmly, draw on your knowledge, deal with the vet and follow his instruction with the aftercare (which was of course very difficult but you learnt what to do quickly ) and the outcome is that she is recovering nicely

Finance Manager with a Housing Association in Bradford. I'm just about done now but it's all how you meet their requirements in line with the job spec and then how my experience to date would help me fulfil the role. Try not repreating yourself with that one. Then they ask about key responsibilities in each job done to date. AAAGGHHHH. I'm going to have to drive it up tomorrow.

i got that first question in an interview once and i said that i would ask when said work is to be completed and then say i would put them in order of when they were needed. i got asked a question that i hate too..... what are your strengths and weaknesses.... i was told to say by my previous line manager that for a weakness you should say you can never say no to work as that is a weakness as you should stand up for yourself and say no if you cant do it. i said that and got the job. ha ha ;D

becca sounds like she has sorted you!! will stick my bit in anyhoo
"How do you prioritise your day when you have been given a number of jobs to complete?"
By ensuring I utilise my time correctly and efficiently and ensuring the jobs which are most urgent are given the highest priority and continually re-assesing the urgency of each job.
can you provide an example of when you have provided excellent customer service? what was the situation? what was the outcome?
say you use the aggresive customer-
In a situation whilst working behind a bar I was required to remove a drunk and aggressive customer to ensure that other customers did not have their evening spoiled. I did this in an unobtrisive manner queitly requiring the customer to leave informing him that he would no longer be served due to his level of drunkeness and asked hi the leave. I stayed calm and did not allow the situation to escalate out of control and by remaining calm and keeping a consistantly professional manner towards the customer. The customer left and the rest of the clients were able continue their evening.
can you give me an example of when you have dealt with a challenging situation? what was the situation? what action did you take and what was the outcome?"
I would use the leg one say how you remained calm in order to prevent those around you panicking and to ensure the horse did not panic, your first aid experiance meant that you were able to treat the wound to prevent further injury to the horse until the arrival if the vet. also the ongoing treatment requires commitment to the horse and a good organising of your day in order to ensure treatment was carried out without the rest of your life suffering.

Only thing I know about TK Max is that they usually keep you to one particular job role. So for instance if you get putting out stock, you usually get so many cages to do each shift - they love quick and efficient. *Good words for job application is prioritise workload, self management, team player, your core values i.e. respect. Difficult and challenging situations - take a calm approach, give the customer as much information as possible, listen to the customers concerns, good negogiation skills. I'm off work this week but I have heaps of stuff in the office to help - this may be good for the forth coming interview if your interested . Good Luck with the application & I hope you get an interview.

Have job application form in front of me (TK Maxx ) They have this stupid section...I dont know what to put! Heres the questions, word for word. No idea about this one! "How do you prioritise your day when you have been given a number of jobs to complete?" I like to prioritise in importance, I work with horses quite alot helping out on my yard; i prioritise more in an health and safety way then anything! the horses health and safety always comes first and I believe this would be a vital priorty in a shop like TK Maxx! second one...I have worked in a pub so think I may be able to blag this one a bit...but what do you think? "can you provide an example of when you have provided excellent customer service? what was the situation? what was the outcome?explain a dispute at the yard that you have managed to resolve? taking a calm collective view on the situation and give the parties advise! offer the idea that you did any thing to help resolve the situation? in a view of a shop that extra person care goes a hell of a long way! maybe discounts? ....Maybe if I say that a customer was getting agressive?? The last beauty.. "can you give me an example of when you have dealt with a challenging situation? what was the situation? what action did you take and what was the outcome?" normally in shops the challenging situation is an irrate customer shouting the odds at you! if i were you explain when you had to deal with a drunk customer at the pub! ie not to serve them. explain that you had to calm them down and that you had to find a way of saying sorry your to pissed to drink her with out upsetting them! This is so f'd up! Whatever happened to just giving CV's out with a list of your experience! It feels like an exam! I dont know what to write!!! *Bangs head on desk* I have added bits in a different colour but if you want any more hints pm me!! xx
