apparently wild dogs eat them to aid digestion so it could be an instinct thing.
if they are only little they should pass through but i would try stop him doing it

Perhaps he needs something doggie-friendly to chew on! Like others said its their instinct. Another theory, however crazy it sounds but he might be lacking in nutrients. I read somewhere that the reason pregnant women for example crave unnutritional foods like ice cubes is that they are lacking nutrients. Perhaps applies to dogs too? Or more likely that he is just being playful!  |

a dog i know eats used sanitary (sp) towels and the crotch area of knickers - clean and dirty. im pretty sure that aint a nutrient deficiency jen xx |

a dog i know eats used sanitary (sp) towels and the crotch area of knickers - clean and dirty. im pretty sure that aint a nutrient deficiency jen xx wouldn't want that do licking my face  |
